Toyota wanted to launch the new Prius for the Australian market, but there wasn’t a car in the country available to shoot. The cars had several lighting passes to produce the final image, including a main HDRI and one with ‘liquid lighting’ for the beautiful highlights. Done for Cream Studios. A bridge was also constructed in 3D and dropped in over the car to create photo-realistic reflections. One of the backgrounds required the insertion of some backlit gum trees to make it more of an Australian landscape. The final touch was the motion blur to add drama to the final scenes.
